The Regular season is over and as of now, RECORDS MEAN NOTHING. This whole regular season was a build up for the playoffs, and now that the seeding’s are set, the only thing that matters now is winning your matchup. The playoffs are where things get out of control. Will there be another Cinderella story this year? Tears will be shed, friendships will be broken, and trophies will be won. It's all on the line here, and it does NOT mean a THING without a RING. The warriors may have been the best team in the NBA last year, but what does that mean? Nothing. LeBron James has the 2016 NBA championship trophy under his roof. The trophy is what we play for. Breaking records, leading the league in points, having the least amount of points, or having just an overall sub par season may have seemed to matter during the regular season, which it did, but it all starts over now. I'll beak down the playoffs, as we are only a day away from opening kickoff for the postseason.

Vegas Odds:
BTOP: 2:1
Sexual Misconduct: 3:1
Bernie Brigade: 5:2
K. Beale: 5:1
The Sacko: 3:2
Dak Attack: 3:1
Chief Keef: 5:1
- - (Max): 7:2
1. Best Team on Paper vs 4. Bernie Brigade
BTOP has finally lived up to his name, becoming the true best team on paper. On paper, he leads the league in points for. On paper, he also has the most points against in the league. On paper, he has the best record in the league. On paper, he has several top 2 fantasy players in his lineup. However, all of that is now on only on paper. To win in this league, you need to have some luck on your side as well. Devin hasn't had to deal with being "lucky" this year, as he stated in this weeks "Kevin's hot takes" but he might need some in the playoffs. The playoffs are where you can start new. No records, only seeding’s. Bernie does not have a bad team at all. Kevin does not have an easy road to the playoffs. Cinderella stories are not uncommon, especially in this 8 man league. I will not take away from Devin's wonderful season, but it's not over yet. The only thing on everyone’s mind is that trophy.
2. K. Beale vs 3. Sexual Misconduct
A rivalry for the ages and a great matchup. A rematch of the 2015-2016 championship game. Both these teams have been neck and neck all year, even having one game end in a tie. They both ended the season 8-4-1, however, PJ had over 300 points more under the points for column. Some of you may say that there isn't a whole lot of luck involved, but someone explain to me how Kyle is at the 2 seed with less points than Max this season. This is besides the point, but PJ is a clear favorite here considering his running game has been top notch this season. The only question for PJ is whether or not his players will continue to play through the end of the season, or if they will continue to preform the way they have. For Kyle, his team needs to soar above average to get passed the strong Sexual Misconduct team. This is the matchup to watch. There will be trash talk. There will be lines crossed. And there will be a victor.
5. - - vs. 6. Chief Keef
There is a problem in the system. The 5 seed is playing the 6 seed? In the past this might not have mattered. But in today's league, everything matters. One of these teams will be playing for the Irgin trophy in 2 weeks, and that shouldn't be the case. Nonetheless, Max suffered a heartbreaker in the last week of the regular season after losing to BTOP and Bernie winning his game against Sexual Misconduct. The only one who can sympathies is Jacob, after missing the playoffs by 1 point last year. But that is officially in the past and he now has to beat Chief Keef to avoid a chance at having the Irgin Trophy displayed in his home for the next 365 days. Jordan has been up and down in the standings this year, but hasn’t been too awful. He actually had a chance at the playoffs if several different things happened in the last week. He actually did his part by winning his last game, but couldn’t pull it out. Jordan only had 38 points less than the 8 win Beale, yet he sits here at the 6 seed. So anything can happen here, but both teams are probably very upset about the seeding system, as any team would be.
7. Dak Attack vs 8. The Sacko
The toilette bowl before the toilette bowl. Both of these teams should really be facing off in the next round of the playoffs. In fact they should just get a one way ticket to playing each other in the Irgin game. The Sacko shattered the record for the worst record of all time, and Jacob squeezed in another win at the end of the season to get 4 wins on the season (tying the same record Luke broke). But, we are currently in a league where the 7 seed plays the 8 seed in the first round instead. The Sacko is relying on his tight end Kelce to do most of his heavy lifting while Jacob will rely on his mid season pick-ups and running game. Both teams know that this is their chance at avoiding the Irgin. The next round will feature either Max or Jordan, who would both be favorites over either of these teams. However, the last 4 weeks of the season are always different. People get more looks, less looks, and some sit. You never know how the games are going to go.
