BTOP has guaranteed himself a bye in the first round of playoffs. That mean this team can go stress free for 2 weeks. In fantasy football that is something that can't be over looked. For BTOP, he is only 2 wins away from a Title, but there are NO guarantees in this league. It's not often the #1 team going into the playoffs ends up winning it all, and BTOP is very familiar with this. His eyes are on the prize and nothing else from this point on.
Bernie actually ranks second in points for the year and is riding on 2 weeks in a row with 143+ points. The Bernie Brigade is the hottest team in the league right now, even with Elliot out. Elliot can only return for Bernie in the final week of our season, in week 16. That would give his team an amazing advantage and a real shot at the trophy. However, he needs to get there first. Bernie has stud receivers with Jones, Thielen, Fitz and Graham, but the running backs are inconsistent. Without a bye week chance, Bernie is playing for a better matchup in the playoffs this week.
Sexual Misconduct has been good the past couple of weeks, but not great. Crabtree is out for a week that is big for this team playing for a bye week. However, Hopkins and Bell have the ability to carry this team over anyone. Though I think this team is overprotected each week, that doesn't take away from his performances. He's had his share of 150 point games, but the ups and downs are too much. Sexual Misconduct needs to rely on some fill ins this week to get him the bye he needs. He controls his own destiny.
5-0 to 5-5 to 7-5. Kyle continues his season of streaks and he's hoping that he can ride his most recent streak through to the playoffs. He has a sure spot in the playoffs and leads the league in points for. However, Kyle can't count on Coleman with Freeman back, and can't possibly rely on Brown to get 40+ points again. Kyle doesn't have much of a bench to replace any of his less reliable players so he needs to trudge it out in the playoffs. I don't like his consistency but I respect his season results.
Duke has continued to stay above .500 through the year, but hasn't made any push to prove himself as a top tier title contender. The playoffs look like a near lock (as long as he doesn't get outscored by Coburn by over 140). Duke has some inconsistencies at the tight end, and Flex positions. The up sides for this team can win him a championship, but the downsides could get him knocked out in the first round. Duke is playing the 2-10 Dak Attack for a chance at a bye week, and it would be an amazing advantage for this team.
Don once again finds himself in a tight spot as the season Is nearing an end. He controls his own destiny and is looking for his first playoff birth of his career. His only competition seems to be The Beef, who is also sitting at 6-6. If Max wins, he'll get the spot, but if he loses, he's got to hope that Coburn does as well. His team has been disappointing this season, but Don always kept that NGU mentality and bounced back from a 1-5 start. In his recent 5-1 streak, Don hasn't fallen below 110 points. Max has one of the best free agent breakouts of the year, which will give him a huge boost if he makes that final push. All of his players need to meet their potential for Max to finish his historic run for a playoff spot.
I continue to show confidence in this team, but Dak Attack has 2 wins on the year. It's hard to put this team below some of these other teams, especially since he has actually outscored 2 of them on the year. Fantasy picks on one team each year and it just so happens to be Jacob's team this year. He is obviously first in points against and just keeps losing games that are unfortunate. 137 points wasn't even enough to get a win last week for this team, even after the worst performance from his best back. Obviously this team isn't in the playoffs, but watch out for Dak Attack winning the lower bracket this year. A "dangerous" 2-10.
I've had this team around the 8 spot since the 2-0 start for this team and I was told to "pay respect where it is due". I love the interest in the power rankings and the enthusiasm when it comes to wanting a better ranking, but from the looks of it, this team has little to no chance at making the playoffs. Team 10 is second to last in points and sits 7th in the standings. The scenario for his team to make the playoffs is as follows: Both Don Commish and The Beef need to lose and Team 10 needs to out score Don Commish by 118 points. Team 10 will likely be fighting for an Irgin this year. He'll be matched up for Dak Attack, Chief Keef, or The Beef/Don Commish.
This is pretty amazing. A team that is LAST in points for the year is currently on the brink of playoffs. Coburn obviously can't rely on his points to get him the spot, so he needs a to win and Max to lose. It's as simple as that. He can't exactly control his own destiny right now, but if he somehow makes it into the playoffs, he should have no shot. BUT he should have had no shot at the playoffs all year, so who knows. Coburn hasn't scored over 116 since week 2... He averages 102 points a week. None of his players can be trusted going forward.
This is the story of the great depression. Jordan started the season 3-2 and was looking like a decent playoff contender. Then he went on a 1-6 run. Jordan has lost 5 in a rowans often dropped below 100 throughout the season. Chief Keef is looking like the Irgin favorite right now even with 2 good running backs. His favorite receivers are injured and the replacements he has aren't trustworthy at all. He ranks 7th in points for, but more than likely last in points in his last 5 games. We'll see how this team matches up against Dak Attack and Team 10 in the losers bracket.
