1. Sexual Misconduct (7-3) -
A monumental week for Patrick J. Perry. 205 points, there isn't much that can be said here that hasn't already been said in the group chat, Kevin's hot takes, or in The Weekly Elite. I won't go into specifics about PJs team because literally everybody had an outstanding week. 9 touchdowns were scored by PJs starting lineup and he didn't even play Matthews, who had 2 himself. If he actually played Matthews over Gordon he would've scored 216 points. But still, the single game scoring record may never be broken again. PJ stands with the golden state warriors as someone with a record that might never be broken again. But does is mean anything without a championship? Maybe not. The end goal will always be to win some cash and get your name on the championships trophy for bragging rights for an entire year. PJ has the bragging rights right now and is going for 2 years in a row.
2. Best Team on Paper (7-3) -
I personally sat down with Devin J. Swiftney and talked to him about his recent performances. Although he sits at 7-3, which is tied with 2 other teams for the best record, it has been a little disappointing. Devin's team has really seemed to be overpowering in previous weeks, but it looks like there has been a small decline, averaging 119 points in the last 4 weeks. A good amount lower than his season average of 133 points per game, the second most in the league. He also leads the league in points against, which seems to happen to one of the best teams each year. Teams average over 130 points a week over BTOP and he claims his defense can't keep up with these fast paced offenses. A possible 10 man league in the future might ease Devin's tension and he might make that a priority 1 for next season. With one more win, Devin could clinch a playoff spot, depending on other teams performances.
3. K. Beale (7-3) -
Kyle has proved to be a consistent winner but still hasn't proven to be a top competitor for the championship. He has less points for than Don With the Ship, yet he has 2 more wins. Kyle had the second least amount of points this week, only above the 1-9 Sacko team with 79. If Kyle could make the playoffs, he might see some problems. His team relies heavily on the patriots, who may sit some of their best players after clinching a playoff birth. I may be wrong though, as Kyle also has several players on teams who are still hoping to make a push for playoffs. Kyle himself still needs some more wins to make the playoffs and doesn't have the points for to speak for his record. If he were to tie someones record for a playoff spot, it could come down to points for, and Kyle should hope that he has a strong finish to his season so he could squeak in. But with 7 wins, he would need to blow large lead for that to happen.
4. Don With The Ship (5-5) -
Don is 3rd in points, yet he has the least points against this year. So, that means that if he had a higher points for he could be down a couple losses. But also that means that he has the points to be above Kyle in the standings. It's just how fantasy is. It can be the most frustrating event in all of life. Only 3 weeks remain and Max needs to win at least 2 more games to have any chance at the playoffs. With 2 wins, he would then have to worry about his points for compared to other teams also looking at his playoff spot. And with Max remaining 3rd in points for, he has a decent chance with 2 wins. Max's strength of schedule is one of the easiest in the next 2 weeks, playing The Sacko in week 11 and Old Sport in week 12. If it comes down to the last week, he may have to play BTOP for a chance at playoffs.
5.Bernie Brigade (5-5) ^1
Bernie continues to straddle to .500 record but had a great week with 143 this week. He's in the playoff hunt with several other teams. 2 other teams remain 5-5 and Bernie is on pace to jump ahead in the standings. The problem is that Bernie has shown no consistency all season, but if he can somehow make his way into the playoffs, he could have a legitimate chance at the trophy. There is never a true underdog in the playoffs because you never know what will truly happen. Look at Jacob last year. If Jacob would've gotten a single point more, his name would be on that trophy for the second time. Luke also pulled out a championship win as a 4 seed in the playoffs 2 years ago. So Bernie's season is not over. Never give up.
6. Chief Keef (5-5) v1
Once again, another team at 5-5 and another team in the playoff race. Even though Jordan has muted our group chat and some people may think that he has given up, he has not. He continues to try to make changes to his team to improve his chance at playoffs. He ranks 5th in points for and his point differential is a tiny -0.2. Jordan games could go either way every week, so who knows how the next 3 weeks will pan out for him. Out of the other 5-5 teams in the past 3 weeks, he ranks first in average points at 124. Max averages 112 over the past 3 weeks and Bernie ranks last of the 3 teams averaging 106 points. Jordan actually seems to be the most likely to make a push for playoffs, as unlikely as that seems and even though i have him here at the 6 rank. However, he plays 2 (7-3) teams in the next 2 weeks. But with 2 wins, he could prove to the entire league that he is for real.
7. Old Sport (3-7) -
Jacob's struggles continue even with some decent numbers. I haven't done the exact math, but I believe there's still life for Jacob. We know that Jacob won't give up because of how last season ended, but as of now it looks like he is in the running for the Irgin. The last thing Jacob wants is his name on the Irgin 2 times in 4 years. With a championship win in the leagues first year and an Irgin win in the leagues second year, an Irgin this year might make him the most decorated franchise in the league. 1 more loss and he is officially out of the race. Even with 132 points this week he still managed to lose against BTOP. However Jacob only has more points than the last place Duke. It would take a miracle for Jacob to pull something out.
8. The Sacko (1-9) -
Not much to say here. The only thing really is that PJ scored 205 on this man. Thats a murder. He lost by 129 points. Even with the help of some other teams he still wouldn't have won. So the highlight of Luke's week was the other teams score. Everyone should have a little bit of fear in their eye however with the thanksgiving game coming up. Luke has a lot of rage that has built up and the only thing that he has to look forward to is to hit the kids that have pounded him over the past 2 months. If The Sacko wins out, he will TIE the record for the worst single season in league history. But his main goal is now to not win the Irgin and possibly ruin some seasons with the next couple weeks of the season. May god have mercy on his soul.
