Kyle gave Jacob his first win on the season this week, and who woulda thought? Kyle lost with a total of 132 points, 3rd this week in points. Kyle doesn't jump out and lead the league in points every week, but is almost always in the top 3 consistently. He isn't unbeatable, but he is pretty damn good. His "problem" is his running backs, with 2 backs that are known to be the #2's in their respective teams rotation. Other than that, each of his players will almost always but up good to over the top numbers every week.
Devin has what everyone needs. Running backs and tight ends. That gives his team a heavy advantage in the trade game, especially with 2 solid tight ends. Plus, Cooper finally blew up for over 40 points, and will probably be the #1 guy once again in Oakland. BTOP has a solid team overall with little sign of weakness, as everything is seeming to go his way.
Wow Bernie is up here at 3-4, but I have to give it up for his team. By the way I don't see Bernie keeping this spot once Elliot is eventually suspended. Without Zeke, Bernie has to choose between Blount, Abdullah, and Morris (or McFadden) for his starting running back. Although Morris or McFadden will replace Elliott, they won't see the kind of touches he does, and will probably split. And Lynch has been so up and down this year its hard to tell wheres he's headed. Kirk and Julio are looking to carry Bernies team the rest of the way.
Having a player that is projected 23 points is always a bonus for a team. However, I think PJ may have lost in his trade with Jacob this last week, giving up Walker, Ingram (what?), and Dak. Along with that, a lot of his players are starting to slow down. CJ Anderson, Crabtree, Murray and maybe even Newton are all showing signs of slowing down. Hopkins is the #3 receiver right now and is just putting up great numbers with huge TD counts. PJ has a defining week against the Beef this week.
Chief Keef (more well known as Big Chief), is looking average thus far. I've explained what I think of each of his players, being average and what not. So lets talk about his standing in the league. He is one of 3 teams with 755 points for this week (averaging about 108 per game). These are numbers that can get you wins depending on a matchup. Jordan actually has MORE points against than points for, which is odd considering he has 4 wins. He averages losing by 0.3 points per week. Thats just the way fantasy goes these days. Is it luck? is it skill? Don't ask this guy.
This team has gone from top to bottom real quick. The loss of OBJ was just the beginning. Montgomery has been more than just sploppy, the Thomas boys have had good weeks, just never at the same time, and Reed got all his points on a comeback effort. The real question here is the 2 spots at FLEX and RB1 with McKinnon being an unknown play. Wentz might win MVP though (or Prater).
These 4-3 teams sitting at the 5, 6, and 7 spots are pretty much all the same. ALL of these teams have 755 points, which is strangely coincidental. However, Team 10 has shown some signs of championship contention. Ertz might be #1 all year, Evans is legit #1 target, but in a struggling offense. Jeffery's stock is staring to go up with the explosive Eagles team, along with Gordon being one of the best running backs in the league right now. Charlie will have to scrounge for a flex play with a lot of his team on bye against Chief Keef.
Dak Attack is 1-0. Do NOT sleep on this team. He has traded his way into a decent team, with only his kicker as the same starter as week 1. That's pretty crazy. Jake now has a legit QB at Dak, a legit RB at Ingram and even Thompson, and some pretty good receivers. Jacob beat the powerhouse Beale last week to get his first win and not tie the worst start to a season record, but its not over for him. In this new 10-man league, 6 wins could actually give you a chance at the playoffs, obviously depending on other teams in the leagues performance. Jacob isn't even at the bottom of the league in points, and doesn't trail many teams by much. Mark my words, Jacob could find a playoff spot.
As I stated above, Coburn actually has the least amount of points in the league with 745. Coburn has recently been an easy win against opponents who dont have the least points in the league that week. He beat Duke (who had 91 points) and BTOP (who had 75). Coburn just looks like a team that needs his opponent to do poorly, and thats happened so far. A 3-4 record keeps him in the running.
Let me get one thing straight, this is a strong 2-5 team. Nah not really. But Don doesn't actually have a terrible team, because there aren't any defining bad teams in our league right now. He's actually projected more than any other team this week, which doesn't mean a ton, but still, there's hope. Honestly I like his team aside from Matt Ryan and Ajayi being busts this year, but that doesn't mean these guys can't come back from a bad start. This has been the season of players bouncing back and dropping off, so don't give up on this team.
