Game of the week: Old Sport vs. Don Commish
Prediction of the week: Sexual Misconduct will beat Chief Keef
Prediction of the week: Sexual Misconduct will beat Chief Keef
Duke's Week 4 Power Rankings
1. Best Team on Paper (3-1) -
BTOP took a tough loss to the underdog Chief Keef. Devin still leads the league in points for and is second in most points against, so you know these aren't small wins. Big Ben continues to show that he's one of the best QBs in the league, ranking second in fantasy at his position. David Johnson is averaging nearly 20 points a game and also ranks second in fantasy. Greg Olson only had 21 points... Ranking first in fantasy averaging 17.5 points through 4 games, Olden is Devin's biggest asset. Devin actually has both the number 1 and number 2 ranked QB's on his team and could get big time players on the trade block for one of them. I only see Devin's team improving.
2. Sexual Misconduct (2-2) -
PJ's team beat his long time fantasy football enemy and increased his winning record against Kyle. I still see some small problems with depth besides possibly Jordy Nelson and TJ Yeldon. Cooper, Walker, Diggs, Panthers D, and Tucker all got single digits and PJ still managed to 117 points this week. Murray is the number 1 running back in fantasy football right now. Nobody would have guessed that before the 2016 season but thats where were at. Andrew Luck has become consistent at giving PJ a scare after the first half and then coming back to score 18 points. Diggs also needs to start playing a more important role for PJ and he's got some great potential. A big week for Perry as he looks to get his first winning record of the year.
3. Don Commish (3-1) ^1
Don is on the rise and near the top 2 of the rankings after a very strong week. Leading the league in points in week 4, Max is starting to make a statement. The only other 3-1 team in the league has had some strong showings but also has the least points against by a pretty good amount. Julio Jones helped out a bit this week for Max with 48 points. Even without those points, he would've tied the last place - Duke - . Reed is a fantasy gem ranking second amongst tight ends and Drew Brees also ranking second amongst QB's in fantasy so far. Max received Gurley in a trade with Wiley, but TG has been very disappointing thus far only averaging 11 points a game. So far he's been a bust, but a low cost trade might prove to help Max's team.
4. Chief Keef (2-2) ^3
A very strong outing for Jordan as he beat the number one ranked BTOP. McCoy has turned out to be a great running back for the second year in a row ranking 4th. AJ Green went off with 33 points and it wasn't even too much of a surprise. Possibly it was overlooked because of Julio's performance, but AJ Green is the number 1 ranked receiver in the league averaging 22 points. 141 points for Jordan this week really made people open their eyes and see Jordan as a true contender this year. The bench however is a bit short of points. Decker is out and he has 3 byes with week, so his starters need to show out to get him to a winning record.
5. Old Sport (2-2) -
A weak showing this week for Jacob with only 97 points. Hopkins is starting to look more and more like a small bust this year. He is not producing like the way he did last year and has some competition now with Fuller on the same team. Cam Newton has done good for Jacob averaging 19 points a game but can have some slow games at times. Carlos Hyde has been producing pretty well and ranks 6th at the running back position, possibly being the 49ers only hope. The old man Steve Smith has actually been putting up some decent numbers and gives Jake some decent depth. Old Sport needs to improve if he wants any chance at the playoffs.
6. K. Beale (2-2) V3
Kyle suffered a tough loss against long time rival Sexual Misconduct with the lowest score of the week (83). The early draft of Gronk is coming back to bite Kyle in the butt as he is seeing little production out of him because of his injury. 2 points in his first 4 weeks is probably not where Kyle saw him at when he drafted him 11th overall. However, Tom Brady is back off his 4 week suspension and hopes are high for the superstar QB. Blount is coming off a disappointing 8 points in New England's shut out loss, but looks to bounce back against Cleveland. It looks more and more like Kyle isi relying on the pats to carry much of his workload moving forward with even their kicker on his team. Kyle's all in on NE and this weeks matchup against - Duke - might be a tough one.
7. Bernie Brigade (2-2) V1
Bernie had a sub par week, but not terrible. He did get the win against the rising Old Sport however. Leveon Bell is back and came in with some fire. 22 points puts Bell right back where he was last year and will probably continue to produce in the backfield of the NFL's most explosive offense. OBJ has been bouncing back fourth between a good receiver to a distraction. He targets the best corners in the league and is often not thrown too. TY Hilton has become a good WR2 choice for Bernie ranking in the top 10 of receivers thus far. Bernie bench shows some crazy consistency with only 1 player in single digits, only because he was injured (Murray). The future could be bright for Bernie, if he plays the right people at the right time.
8. - Duke - (0-4) -
Where to begin. The struggles continue for - Duke - as he remains the only team without a win. The least points for and the most points against. It's not often you see that combo. But it seems the league found its scapegoat to who will be the punching bag. Borglin has other plans however. The additions of Pryor and Sanders last week could prove to be big in the receiving lineup. Pickups have been big for Borglin this year (11 acquisitions). Des has continued to disappoint on and off the field, but Freeman is improving slightly. Freeman actually ranks second in yards per carry but there's not much to show in his fantasy stats. Borglin hopes his pickups will save his season.
