Game of the week: BTOP vs. Old Sport
Prediction of the week: Chief Keef gets first win of the year against Bernie Brigade
Prediction of the week: Chief Keef gets first win of the year against Bernie Brigade
Duke's Week 2 Power Rankings
1. Best Team On Paper (2-0) ^1
130 Points
Consistency across the board. His main players (QB/RB/WR) ALL were in the double digits. The only problem this week was his kicker and defense, which was possibly the reason he won last week when they combined for 33 of his points. That was my only problem with his team last week, and even when they didn't show out, he got the W. Only Greg Olson got in the 20's (23), but that really doesn't matter because of how great everyone else played. His projections fluctuated throughout the weekend, but he never blinked an eye. Every player got at least close to their projected scores, and that doesn't happen often. Luke's team had the chance to come back near the end but failed to show any major impact. Devin leads the league in points and doesn't seem to show any signs of slowing down.

2. Don Commish (2-0) ^1
128 Points
Not much competition this week for Don Iver as he crushes Jordan by 51 points. However, Don has the least amount of points against by a long shot at 176. Yeah, thats close to what BTOP scored in week 1 alone. He still remains third in points for, and had a strong showing this week. Some running back problems set Max a little back but his receivers picked up the slack. Julio Jones and Jarvis Landry are reception machines and each racked up 21 points. Landry caught 10 of 13 targets. The man is Miami's only hope in winning anything. Broncos Defense proves to be the best in the league and scores 23 points. Drew Brees is a solid QB but was a bit disappointing playing a weak Giants Defense. He still scored 14 but was expected more. Lets see if Max can hold the 2 spot long.
3. Old Sport (2-0) ^3
149 Points
Cam Newton. 29 points for the big fella. With Stewart injured, the pass game is all they have, and they execute it to perfection. Jacob lead the league in points this week after a low scoring week 1. A 2-0 start gives Jake some confidence and his team is looking good with several players scoring in the high teens and 20's. Theres still a weakness here at the tight end and its hard to find a replacement these days. However even with 3 of his players in single digits, he still managed to get near 150 points this week to blow out the previous 1 seed Sexual Misconduct. Jacob might be one of the best teams throughout the year.
4. Sexual Misconduct (0-2) V3
119 Points
A heavy loss and a steep drop in this weeks rankings. Both of Pj's losses come to the now 1 and 3 ranked teams who have shown to be great teams. PJ has the most points against by a lot (310). That means teams average 155 a week against him. Nobody even scored 150 this week. PJ has had it rough so far and has had a slow start at 0-2, but this upcoming week is crucial as he plays another 0-2 team, The First Order. This week however there were several disappointments with Andrew Luck (9), Rawls (4), and Antonio Brown (7). All of these players are stars and we shouldn't expect these numbers every week.
5.Bernie Brigade (1-1) ^2
134 Points
A pretty good week for Bernie with only 1 of his players with single digits. Kelvin Benjamin went off with 29 points but even if he scored 0, Bernie still would've won this matchup against Kyle. He's right in the middle of the pack when it comes to points for and against. Murray had another solid game and seems to be dong Bernie right but OBJ has yet to put up superstar numbers. Im sure he's hoping that changes very soon.
6. K. Beale (1-1) V2
102 Points
Disappointing week to say the least for Beale. Not to mention his team name is still his first initial and last name. He remains in second place (in the weaker division) but not by much. His 1-1 record doesn't have much to show for it. Carr is turning out to be a solid starting QB for Kyle, while AP has been disappointing. AP is also looking to be out for several weeks or even months. This is the first 1st round injury so far this year. Other than that, there hasn't been much else for Kyle's team this week thats worth talking about. A sub par week.
7. The First Order (0-2) ^1
117 Points
A much better week this week puts Luke above the last spot in the league. With the lowest points for total (202), He has a lot of improving to do. The team still isn't too bad, just not putting up consistent numbers like he'd hoped. Josh Gordon looks at facing ANOTHER year long suspension and Tyler Eifert is still out. A couple waiver claims might help The First Order out and he is trying this already with the quick pick up of Asiata in replacing Peterson. Freeman and Bryant haven't been great in the first couple weeks and they were his first 2 picks. Also Barnidge has yet to reach double digits this season. The team has the potential to make the playoffs and this is a big week to prove it.
8. Chief Keef (0-2) V3
72 Points
The least amount of points this year belongs to Jordan Wiley. He's second lowest in points for only 3 above Luke. 6 of his 9 players scored in the single digits. The 3 who scored double digits (Rogers, McCoy, and Fitz) had solid weeks. Even when Rodgers threw 0 touchdowns, he scored 20 points. Thats pretty impressive. If he keeps that up he'll be upwards of 25 every week, assuming he'll get some touchdowns. Abdullah was injured this week and he looks to replace him with Gurley. Not a bad replacement at all. Though Gurley has also been pretty disappointing this year as well. Jordan looks to get his first win against Bernie this week. I predict he'll upset the Brigade to go 1-2.
