Game of the week: Old Sport vs. K. Beale
Prediction of the week: Bernie Brigade will beat Sexual Misconduct
Prediction of the week: Bernie Brigade will beat Sexual Misconduct
Duke's Week 5 Power Rankings
1. Best Team on Paper (4-1) -
Devin continues to show that he will no longer wield the irgin. He lead this week in points AGAIN and still leads the league in points for. Rothlisberger, Johnson, Elliot, and Olsen all were at, above, or near 30 points this week.xx If devin had a more solid flex, this team would be near perfect. His flex still isn't too weak, but not to strong either. If cooks can do what he did last year i think devins team could break out even more. Crowell just doesn't seem to fit at his flex spot.
2. Sexual Misconduct (3-2) -
The third week in a row where PJ has held the 2 spot. This is the only week where PJs record shows how good his team might be. Only his defense and kicker were in single digits this week. However i'm still seeing weakness on the bench. Besides mike wallace, PJ doesn't really have anyone that could replace an injured starter. Though he might not need to. All of his starters have been big in the first 5 weeks. Second in point this week, second in points for the season. PJ is not slowing down and is knocking on Devins back door.
3. Don Commish (3-2) -
Max took a tough loss this week against the strong Old Sport. He had he lowest points for this week (91), but he still remains at the 3 spot. He's proved his strength time and again so it's hard for me not to trust his team. Julio Jones has been crazy Inconsistant and it was a bad week for him to do bad. following a 300 yard game he gets 4 fantasy points. Don is actually no longer the holder of the least points against category so there is a little more respect here. At 3-2, Dons team is still looking strong but there's definitely room for some improvement after this week.
4. Old Sport (3-2) -
A very strong week against a strong Don Commish Team keeps Old Sport at the 4 spot. a solid outing across the board for jacob as most of his players scored in the double digits. Even without playing Riddick (25), and Bennett (30), he had a clear path to victory. And with Cam Newton out this week, Jacob had some QB struggles with Manning. So with everyone healthy, Jacobs team can be a real contender for the championship this year and he's sitting well at 3-2.
5. Bernie Brigade (2-3) ^2
Bernie may have just proved me wrong this week after bouncing around the standings since week 1. A strong outting still ended with a loss to the true best team on paper. 131 points was third this week in points for and his point differential remains very small. Miller and Brate were his only low scorers this week but that could've been prevented with the right people played. Coleman and Howard on Bernies bench both could've replaced the 2 underperformers but that's how fantasy goes these days. Let's see if Bernie can live up to his ranking now and not dip like he has in the past.
6. K. Beale (3-2) V1
Kyle had a tight win this week against the winless Duke. Mike Evans won the game for Kyle and really came up clutch with 20 points in his Monday night game. In his return, Brady scored 29 points which was also a part in Gronks game, Blounts game, and Gostowski's game. Kyle played Duke, who played all the wrong players this week which helped kyle in the win. At 3-2, kyle is just sneaking by and is looking to improve to 4-2 agaiant the strong looking Old Sport (3-2).
7. Chief Keef (2-3) V3
Not a great week for Jordan as he was crushed by the 1 seed Sexual Misconduct. A big trade with Duke might end up helping out Jordans season with the aqusition of Devonta Freeman. The key for Jordan for the remainder of the season is to find consistency in his lineup. He continues to bounce up and down in the standings and has yet to make a name for himself. the next few weeks will define his season and decide his chances for the playoffs this year.
8. - Duke - (0-5) -
Closing in on the worst start in Elite Eight history (currently held by Max at 0-6). So i guess we're all watching history in the making. Duke lost a heartbreaker to Kyle by only 3 points in a Monday night game. The points for total is so low and the points against are so high i don't think we've ever seen a point differential like this before. Another history in the making. At this pace, he is going to shatter the point differential record at (-29) points per game. Yes, that's averaging losing by nearly 30 a game. However let's see how Duke's recent trade with Chief Keef changes his team up.
